If you are seeing this page, then Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding day! There is nothing more exciting than beginning a new life with your soul mate! Let me show you how a day with me will look!
You have a lot of planning and maneuvering these next few months to get ready for your wedding, it can be hectic but so worth it. As far as the wedding photography, I want you to be a total ease, so that when day comes all you have to do is worry about one thin.. GETTING MARRIED!
With the diversity of the cultural aspects of our weddings, it’s difficult to pinpoint an exact wedding photography timeline template. However, there are ideal time frames you should consider when planning your day. Some of these times may seem long on paper but keep in mind that 1) the day will fly by, 2) most weddings run slightly behind schedule, and 3) we’ll make these photo sessions fun, so it won’t seem like a long time.
...we are going to have a total of at least three phone conversations after your deposit. I require some assistance in getting together your Photo Schedule, with specific names, dates, times, addresses, etc. I take on the role of planning and scheduling your entire day as far as photography goes. so that when your wedding day comes, you have nothing to worry about as far as me. I will create the schedule and we will converse till it's perfect. You and your new spouse will receive a copy and all involved will know: where to be, how to be, what to bring, at what time and what place, for the whole day. After this wedding schedule is complete and we are confident it is ready to go, the next step on this end is nothing... You will have nothing else to worry about :). I'll see you on your wedding day!
Ideal Time Allotment – 120 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Early Afternoon
Ideal Location – Bridal Suite or Hotel Suite
Advice – Having an hour of preparation is ideal for our style. During this time, we are getting close-ups of the makeup and hair being applied as well as the candid moments and the bridesmaids and groomsmen get ready for the day. Keep in mind that these are some of the most emotional and fun times of the day, so you don’t want to cut it short. While it doesn’t take guys an hour to get dressed, there are still tons of great moments during this time between the groom and his family and friends.
Ideal Time Allotment – 30 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Early Afternoon
Ideal Location – Bridal Suite, Hotel Suite, Venue Lobby, or Venue Garden
Advice – Right after prep is the best time for individual portraits of the bride and groom (separately). Besides makeup and hair being completely fresh, the day hasn’t gotten hectic yet so we can take our time and get those perfect portraits.
Also, keep in mind that the window lighting in most hotel rooms creates a unique look that can’t be duplicated in any environment throughout the rest of the day.

If you don't wish to see each other before the wedding, we can let you have a moment together before the wedding without looking, we would separate you with a door, a tree, curtain ect. and give you a moment while i capture this "NON first look".
Ideal Time Allotment – 20 minutes
Most of you ladies are Daddy's little girl, and as for the groom, that's Mom's little boy. This is an emotional day for parents, and giving them the first look is a sweet and warm-hearted moment for them to have with their children. During the fast passed motion of the day, parents appreciate you taking a moment, just for them. We position their backs to you while you make your grand entrance and queue them when to turn around, to capture the emotion and pride that the parent has of their child.
Ideal Time Allotment – 30-45 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Afternoon
During this time, we get a variety of shots in a variety of poses. We start with the basic, classic photos focused on great expressions and lighting.
Then we move into a set of fun and creative shots as well as individual portraits of all the bridesmaids as well as portraits with the bride, and then we wrap it up with photos of just the bride!

Note: I rarely expect this particular group to cooperate. They are gonna goof and do their thing and I will capture every crazy thing that they decided to do! :)
Ideal Time Allotment – 20-40 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Early Afternoon
Ideal Location – Venue Garden, Empty Venue Hallway (shaded areas with natural light)
This time is spent on a few basic portraits of the bride and groom.
Ideally we are saving the bulk of the couples session for later (see the “couples session” section below). However, if there is no other time in the day, it is best to allocate another few minutes here so that we make sure we have enough photos of just you two.
Ideal Time Allotment – 45-120 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Afternoon
Ideal Location -Venue Lobby, Venue Garden, Beach, Park, Off-site Location
During this time, we get a variety of shots in a variety of poses. We start off with the basic, classic photos focused on great expressions and lighting.
Then we move into a set of fun and creative shots. Finally, we know how much your wedding party means to you, so we are sure to get pictures with you and each one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen individually. This is usually sectioned off into 3 segments. 1. The bride with the bridesmaids. 2. The groom with the groomsmen. 3. The entire wedding party together after the ceremony.
Ideal Time Allotment – 30-45 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Afternoon (Post Ceremony)
Ideal Location – Ceremony Site
Advice – Formals should take around 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of your family and the number of guests.
Plan on 30-60 seconds per family/group. The bride and groom will exit the venue where the family will 'line up' in a sense to take turns to have photos with the newlyweds. This is ideal so that EVERYONE can have a photo with the bride and groom. After the photo is taken group may excuse themselves either back to the venue or to the second location for the reception.
Ideal Time Allotment – 20 min
Late Afternoon (Sunset)
Ideal Location – Venue Garden, Beach, Hotel Lobby, Park
Couple sessions should be around 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. The is the best time in terms of lighting. However, we can do photos after the ceremony as well as at sunset for a 'Sneek Away' during sunset.
It also allows us to capture the awesome scenic shots with colorful skies. If you booked your venue because of the spectacular view of the ocean or the gorgeous vines in the winery, it’s essential to follow this advice in your timeline.
Ideal Time Allotment – 1-4 Hour
Ideal Time of the Day – Early Evening
Ideal Location – Reception Site
These photos will be very candid to entering of the reception venue as well as photos of the festivities that follow, first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, cake cutting, garter toss, bouquet toss, and anything that happens in between the celebration.
Ideal Time Allotment – 10 minutes
Ideal Time of the Day – Dusk to night-time
Ideal Location – Areas with interesting lights, fountains, cityscapes, and mirrors
Advice – During the commencement of the reception you may either choose to do a 'sneak away' to get some nighttime photography with your new spouse or you may choose to do an "exit photo" sparklers welcome :)
